Seiko's 62 Diver Ref. 6215-7000 was launched as a diver's watch with a depth rating of 300 meters. It features a one-piece stainless steel case, screw-down crown, and it is equipped with the exclusive Cal. 6215, which was produced based on the Cal. 6126. The bezel is a countdown bezel with the numbers decreasing from 50 to 10. This is one of the rarest Seiko watch, it was produced only in 1967 and 1968.
This is a model with thin hands, rather the common thick hands, they are not well known. Probably, they were not listed in sales vintage catalogs. However, the Japanese previous owner checked the microfilm at Seiko and found a similar thin hands. Furthermore, the part codes that make up 6215-7000 and 6159-7000 confirm the existence of two types of hands set. The watch is in good condition, case seems unpolished, the count down bezel shows a strong use as pictured. The watch was service in Japan last 2020 and comes with the service paper.
