Vacheron Constantin reference 6562 in stainless steel, an elegant time-only automatic wristwatch dating from the 1960s and representative of the Geneva manufacture's post-war production. The reference is documented in 35 mm stainless-steel configurations fitted with automatic movements from the K1071/K1072 family.
The round case features a slim polished bezel and distinctive long, sharply faceted lugs, lending the watch a more architectural character than many conventional dress watches of the period. The screw-down caseback is internally signed Vacheron & Constantin and bears case number 393797, reference 6562 and the “Acier Inoxydable” designation.
Its silvered sunburst dial follows a rigorously symmetrical, no-date layout, with applied baton hour markers doubled at the quarters, faceted dauphine hands and sweep centre seconds. At 12 o'clock, the applied Maltese Cross and “Vacheron & Constantin Genève” signature are balanced by the “Automatic” inscription in the lower half of the dial.
Inside is the 29-jewel Vacheron Constantin calibre K1071 automatic movement, distinguished by its signed oscillating weight with a finely textured gilt peripheral section. The movement was overhauled in April 2026. The watch is fitted with a generic handmade leather strap and generic buckle.
Case:the stainless-steel case measures 35 mm in diameter, a size documented for reference 6562. Its construction combines a narrow polished bezel with elongated, sharply faceted lugs that are clearly articulated from the central case body. The screw-down caseback is internally signed and bears the case number, reference and material designation. The crown displays the Maltese Cross.| Rif: | TT-00073 |
